DR. E. LANCE MCCARTHY ECONOMIST SCHOLAR SPEAKER
A NATIONALLY
RECOGNIZED ECONOMIST WITH A SPECIALTY IN URBAN DEVELOPMENT.
Dr. E. Lance McCarthy is President and CEO of the Metropolitan Orlando Urban League. As a nationally recognized economist and investment advisor with a specialty in urban development, he has assisted non profits, churches, corporations, professional athletes and cities with their economic development and financing plans. His public policy research, Fortune 100 experience, entrepreneurial endeavors and non profit programs give him insight into our nations' most pressing problems. His theme is "Wall Street to Main Street". Within the first year of his administration, Dr. McCarthy has nearly doubled the annual budget, negotiated 3 new offices including a Mobile League Bus, chosen as only one of 5 affiliates nationwide to distribute $127 million in new market tax credit financing for small business, developed an entertainment division, started the Urban League Training Institute, a Professor at the National Urban League Economic Opportunity Institute, and co produced "Three Mo Tenors" Nite at the Opera".
Morning Business Development Session speakers include: Arman Walker, President of Bedford Commercial Capital and previous President of OneUnited Bank. Lanz Alexander is a modern day “Renaissance Man”. Business owner, college professor, movie producer, independent record company executive and establishing two manufacturing plants in Baja California-Norte are part of Mr. Alexander’s distinguished career. The City of San Diego will also be on hand. Topics will include : Understanding Capital, Cross Border Opportunity, Doing Business with the City of San Diego .
